Adriana Lastiri has been an associate in the Trademarks Department of Arochi and Lindner’s Mexico office since 2003. She has more than 20 years of experience in intellectual property matters, particularly in the areas of trademarks, trade dress and designs.
She has extensive experience advising clients on the selection, use, and protection of trademarks, which also extends to legal opinions, preparation and prosecution of domestic and foreign trademarks, portfolio management, and contractual matters such as licenses, transfer coexistence agreements, and collaboration agreements. She also conducts intellectual property due diligence investigations for corporate transactions and financing matters, and prepares assignments, security agreements and recordals. Her experience encompasses a wide variety of industries, including computer technology and services, fashion and luxury goods, food and beverages, gaming, technology hardware and equipment and telecommunications.
Adriana holds a Law Degree from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and possesses a Master in Intellectual Property from the Universidad de Alicante in Spain as well as an Amparo Proceedings Diploma Degree from the ITAM. She is an active member of the Mexican Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AMPPI) and the International Trademark Association (INTA). She served on AMMPI’s Trademarks Committee from 2004-2014 and on INTA’s Non-Traditional Trademarks Committee from 2012-2015. Currently, she is a member of INTA’s Pro Bono Committee. In addition, Adriana was Assistant Professor of the Intellectual Property Lectureship at the ITAM.
