Bibiana Agudelo is the head the of foreign Trademarks at Arochi & Lindner. Is a Colombian lawyer from Universidad del Rosario in Bogota, Colombia (1999), with an LLM in Intellectual Property from Franklin Pierce Law Center (today, University of New Hampshire). Bibiana’s trademark practice extends back 20 years and has covered Colombia, Latin America, the US.  Bibiana worked as an IP lawyer in a large prestigious law firm in Bogota, Colombia for approximately 6 years handling trademark prosecution and litigation cases, copyrights, and UDRP proceedings for local and international clients in the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, personal care, entertainment, fashion and food and beverage industries, among others. In her most recent position she directed a trademark practice for an important firm in her country of origin, Colombia.

She has been trademark counsel for Latin American countries at PepsiCo, Inc., managing a trademark portfolio of approximately 9,000 food and beverage marks, litigation cases, and the implementation of best practices for IP protection, enforcement of rights and prevention and handling of trademark and copyright infringement and ambush marketing claims. Before this, she worked for various law firms in the US Northeast, including Venable, Baker & McKenzie and Crowell & Moring.

Her experience includes management of large trademark portfolios in the US for companies such as Unilever, and the world trademark portfolio for Playboy Enterprises International, Inc. (approximately 10,000 marks). She has also been involved in the drafting of technology licensing agreements, video game developing, distribution agreements for US companies such as Ener1 Group and its affiliates; preparation of due diligence reports, corporate deals (mergers and acquisitions) and maintenance of corporate books for US entities; coordination of strategies and enforcement of antitrust guidelines and processes during pre-merger activities of large US corporations such as AT&T and Bellsouth; and assistance in antitrust guidance to trade associations in the U.S.

Bibiana is a member and committee member of INTA and ASIPI. She was Trademark Committee Chair at AIPF, and from September 2020, she has been a member of the Board of Directors of the same Association.
