Óscar Salinas is an associate in the Patent Department of Arochi and Lindner’s Mexico office since 2013. He is a trained Biological and Pharmaceutical Chemist and possess particular experience in patent opinions as well as patent and utility models prosecution. His work includes activities related to prior art search reports, preparation of technical opinions, freedom to operate analysis along with drafting responses to official actions, primarily in the chemistry, food and beverages, medical device, and pharmaceutical industries.
Due to his 5 years of experience working at the Federal Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risk (COFEPRIS), Óscar also possess a substantial experience in sanitary regulation. His work in this area includes advertising and marketing pre-clearance; labeling analysis in accordance with the applicable Official Mexican Standards (NOM); together with any other formality or registration before COFEPRIS for cosmetic and beauty products, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, food, dietary supplements as well products that can be classified as medicines or medical devices.
Óscar holds a Pharmaceutical Biological Chemistry Degree from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. In addition, he has a Diploma in Regulation granted by the Federal Commission for Regulatory Improvement (COFEMER).
