Edith Alcántara has been an associate in the Patent Department of Arochi & Lindner in Mexico since 2022. She received her bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Biological Chemistry from the Faculty of Chemistry of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, with a Health Law specialization in process at the Faculty of Law of the same university. Her work includes regulatory affairs in the fields of pharmaceutical drugs, medical device and cosmetic products manufacturing, marketing, distribution, imports & exports, and advertising.

She has extensive experience in health regulation due to her work at the Federal Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks (COFEPRIS), where she reviewed the compliance of pharmaceutical laboratories, warehouses, and pharmacies that utilize raw materials and medication with narcotics and/or psychotropic substances; the manufacturing of pesticides, food flavorings, and fragrances that utilize chemical precursors and/or essential chemical products; as well as providing expert assessment for import/export permits, the authorization of quality control and special formulation records, and annual reports of chemical precursors and essential chemical products.
