José Luis Martínez joined the Patents Department of Arochi & Lindner Mexico in 2023 as a technical specialist in the area of Health Regulation and Compliance. His practice includes advising on regulatory strategies for medication, food, alcohol, and non-alcoholic beverages.
He has more than 13 years of experience with extensive knowledge in national legal and regulatory frameworks, applicable to chemically synthesized products, the effective optimization of authorization processes for generic, herbal, vitaminic, and homeopathic medicine life cycles, as well as herbal remedies and new molecular entities, and effective strategies in obtaining authorizations for healthcare supplies.
He acquired extensive experience in health regulation at the Federal Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks (COFEPRIS) as an assessor of generic, herbal, vitaminic, and homeopathic medicines, herbal remedies, and new molecular entities, as a reviewer of allopathic medicines to verify compliance with current legal and regulatory frameworks, and as a coordinator of reference medicines.
In private practice, he has served as a coordinator of Regulatory Affairs to optimize authorization processes for healthcare supplies.
Currently, he specializes in advising on authorization processes for health registrations in the pharmaceutical industry, oversees the management of operating licenses, exportation certificates, advertising permits, agreements for the use of Denomination of Origin of Tequilas (DOT), and Certificates of Approval for Bottlers (CAE) in the area of Products and Services.
José Luis Martínez is a Food Chemist and graduated from the Faculty of Chemistry at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).
