Sofía Arroyo is an Associate at the Trademark Department of Arochi & Lindner’s Mexico office. She has more than 22 years of experience in intellectual property, particularly in the areas of trademarks, trade names, commercial advertisements, and designs.
Sofía has extensive experience advising clients on the selection, marketing, and protection of trademarks, which also extends to administrative trademark litigation, legal opinions for the protection and/or defense of Industrial Property rights, drafting of contracts, as well as trademark opposition procedures.
Her experience encompasses trademark registration procedures, licenses of use, assignment of rights, renewals, and undertaking the necessary steps to obtain and preserve rights before the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI), both derived from national procedures and under the Madrid Protocol as well as before the National Institute of Copyright (INDAUTOR).
Sofia attained her law degree at Universidad Panamericana and graduated cum laude. She also has a master’s degree in Industrial and Intellectual Property and Information Society Law at the University of Alicante, Spain.
